Hi all, I have just purchased some Apollo deck light kits, and wondered if the transformer has to go indoors, or if i can have it outdoors as i planned to plug the plugs into an outdoor double socket...

fox Is there an instruction leaflet in the box ? (if all else fails ...read the instructions ) You can always ring SF tech  help desk. Haven't used them myself but I bet some of the other guys will...

A quick google says it's waterproof to a depth of 1m.

Sorry, mate, you won't have a waterproof socket if you plug the transformer in to it. Transformers don't allow the lid on the socket to shut; unless, the transformer is attached to a plug and lead? If...

Very true UP, the amount of times I see this sort of thing, people think because the tranny is IP rated also the socket it's ok  but it's no good if the cover can't be closed!
